Personal Aircraft for Sale

After a 26 year absence from flying, Fred built this airplane over two winters hoping it was his answer to get back up in the air again. Fred's previous experience was in a Cessna 172 that was flown for a period of about 5 years until a crash resulted in a total loss.

While Fred enjoyed working on building this aircraft, he has WAY TOO MUCH WORK TO DO AT BULLBERRY to be flying for fun and has decided to sell the plane. Plus, he has a major project in the works: a totally new custom rifle/pistol action that Bullberry intends to produce, not to mention Fred's already tight work schedule.

The price of the U.S. Light Aircraft, "Hornet" as shown is $25,000. This is somewhat less than total investment, not including the value of any man hours. There are only seven hours on the Hobbs meter of this Hirth 65 HP. Mainly engine break-in time. In addition to the original kit, we have the industry's finest covering, Poly-Fibre, Aero Thane. Carl, our Woodsmith stock-finish man, applied the paint. He is a master at urethane paints from his years of painting show automobiles. (That is also why we have the most envied Gunstock finishes in the industry). The Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner graphics are colored Aero Thane applied onto the base covering, compliments of my daughter and graphics designer. All other graphics were air-brushed.

Additional extras include
:

  • Intercom helmets
  • ELT
  • Auxillary power supply for hand held GPS
  • Tail stand
  • Portable transciever which clips to shoulder harness and is wired into the headset
  • Sensitive altimeter (rate of climb indicator)
  • Light kit with wingtip strobe and navigation lights

These were added to make this a very unique aircraft. (And to blend well with the original intended use of the aircraft).

Please see the kit manufacturer's web pages for lots more information and performance figures on this fine aircraft. www.flyhornet.com. Further information can be obtained by checking on the links from that website.

Please, only serious potential buyers need inquire.

Thanks, Fred @ BB
