I love the .223 Ackley! All your help is greatly
appreciated. The rifle and chambering is fantastic. I built this
rifle strictly for nighttime predator hunts. I needed single shot
for clients that would be simple, safe, compact, and extremely accurate.
THIS IS IT!
Hornady 40 grainers group in the 1/2" range.
Barnes "X" group almost as good. I am so pleased with the
rifle I amusing for my pack in rock chuck hunts and hog hunts.
This is one the three hogs harvested. The hog
stood broadside at 288 paces and had the carpet pulled out from under
him when the bullet struck just behind the ear.
I have new plans for a 6.5-.284 Ackley build on
the Encore!
