This
is John Whitmore, my 10 year old son from Front Royal, Virginia. John
was born with limited use of his right side. Shooting is a sport that
he can participate in with confidence. He started target shooting around
5 years old and last winter bagged his first deer. This is his first
summer out groundhog hunting and he is reducing the VA groundhog population
rapidly.
So
far this year John and I have taken close to 100 groundhogs. He took
these huge groundhogs at 103 & 230 yards. His logest shot to date
is 250 yards. John is shooting hitting just about 100% of the groundhogs
under 150 yards and 75% at 200+ yards. He is shooting a T/C Encore with
a Bullberry 20" Heavy Sporter in .22 K-Hornet and Bullberry wood.
He has it loaded with Starke 36 grain RP bullets traveling at 3050 fps.
He says he wants to be the younges shooter to make the VH 500 yard club.
I have no doubt he can do it.
