Fred,
I'm having my best deer season to date, thanks to you! I used my little 7-30
Waters carbine that you built for me, (I still think the walnut "furniture" that you put on it is too pretty to carry to the deer woods!) So far
this setup is "two for two," two shots and two eight-pointers. These deer, although not trophy class, were taken in the heavily pressured Talladega
National Forest and Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area. Both shots had to be made off-hand from my portable trees, and neither deer traveled
more than 20 yards. I attribute most of these successes to the accuracy of your barrelwork as well as the custom fit that you provided for me
in the stock and forearm. These two features gave me the confidence to make the shots that were 120 yards plus each time.
Thanks again for a great product. I'm further confident that the "tracking dog"
in the photo will not be getting much time in the field while I'm using my Bullberry! He may not look too happy about that, but I sure am.
